1994
Bitwise Communications is incorporated and becomes the largest wholesaler of dial-up internet in Illinois. Eventually, Bitwise transforms into OmniLEC.
2003
OmniLEC lays its first fibers underground through downtown Peoria and Pekin, IL, to serve businesses with the growing demand for higher bandwidth internet services.
2009
OmniLEC is sold to the owner of Family Video and renamed iTV-3. With an all-fiber optic offering for customers, iTV-3 grows to nearly 10,000 customers in the greater Peoria and Champaign-Urbana, Illinois markets.
2016
iTV-3 is acquired by a partnership of Countrywide Broadband and Seaport Capital, and renamed i3 Broadband.
2018
The Rhode Island-based company, Full Channel, Inc., is acquired by i3 Broadband, adding over 6,000 customers and increasing staff to more than 100 people.
2020
i3 Broadband begins executing the largest buildout in company history, expanding across its existing footprint in Illinois and Rhode Island, while entering the greater St. Louis area and other new states.
